Hey FIRE Escapees,
I've just paid the remaining £500, largely with the backing of your contributions so far. Thank you everyone!
The overnight numbers reduced by 2 in the end, resulting in an increase in the overnight price to the following:
>£64 each for 2 nights (was £52 - £12 more)
>£32 each for 1 night (was £26 - £6 more)
Could you possibly send this payment through to my account please?
I plan to get discussions going on what we'll be up to on the weekend itself on the Facebook page which you can join HERE. Just request me as a Facebook friend, and I'll add you to the group.
Can I take this opportunity to request that people only request the group if you are interested in attending the FIRE Escape weekends. The purpose of the group is to interact solely on the weekend itself - Sharing ideas for meals, games, what to do, lift shares etc.
I spoke to the Gaer Hall owner and she said the following will be in place for us during the weekend:
- Private garden
- BBQ
- Internet access
- Central heating
- Cooker
- Fridge
- Freezer
- Microwave
- Toaster
- Kettle
- Dishwasher
- Washing machine
- Clothes dryer
- Iron
- High chair (available on request)
- Satellite TV
- DVD player
- CD player
- Telephone
- Hair dryer
- Linen provided
- Towels provided (1 x large and 1 x small person)
- Pots, pans etc
- Utensils
- Salt, Pepper, and other seasonings
We just need to bring food, drink and personal toiletries.
I have nothing planned for the weekend itself so far.
The only idea I've put out on the Facebook page is my Morning Routine. I recently posted a Youtube video, which can check out here, which details what I do each morning.
I plan on going through my Morning Routine on Saturday and Sunday, and I'd like to openly invite all of you to join me if it interests you. It involves the following:
1. Going for a walk as soon as I get up 6-7am. (Depends on time we go to bed!)
2. Followed by some mobility work (stretching/muscle tissue work)
3. Meditation/sitting in silence (20 mins)
4. Reading (30 mins) - Could do group reading or all individual quiet reading time
5. Affirmations - Reading out positive statements to influence my subconscious mind (2-5 mins)
6. Visualisation - closing eyes and imagining the life that I want. (2-5 mins)
8. Journaling - Write down things I'm grateful for, and how I plan on making the day ahead great.
You may feel that some of this stuff is 'mumbo jumbo' - I did before I tried it! But I swear by it now, and as such, I won't go a day of living without it.
You're welcome to join me for the parts you're comfortable with or the whole thing. We can do it collaboratively or individually.
Either way, I'll do it on my own as I have done for the past 58 days, or I'll be happy to open it up and share the experience with others.
Zero offense taken if you're not interested. Lou has never joined me!!!!!
What ideas do you have for the weekend?
What you you love to do?
I like to put these weekends together, but I'm in no way 'in charge'.
I encourage you to come forward with ideas on what you want to do during the weekend. As long as it's not offensive, and people are free to join in or go without - I really don't mind.
If you have any questions about the weekend/location that aren't answered on the location's website HERE drop me a comment and I'll look into it for you.
