Good morning all
We're now less than a week away from the UK Gathering in Stratford Upon Avon, and I don't know about you, but I can't wait!
I posted the details on where we're going to be meeting on UK Gathering - Spring Update recently. It's still a little early to tell how the weather is going to turn out, but I'll be keeping a close check over the course of this week but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
If you haven't got my mobile number already, would you like to drop me an email on the contact form on the right hand side of the Blog and I'll email it to you. Alternatively, leave a comment below with your email address on if that's easier and I'll email it to you.
Miss FFBF and I have yet to book the hotel we're stopping in. The cheapest we could find in the middle of town (which doesn't require a car to get to) is £115 for a double room. There's one for £85 but it's 6 miles out of town. I'd like to enjoy the evening in town without having to sort out transport back to a hotel in the evening. It's likely that we'll take the option in town unless a cheaper one comes up on the comparison websites.
We're planning on doing more 'touristy' (yes, that's a word) things on Sunday to see the town a little more. I think with the best will in the world Saturday will be mainly about chatting and spending time with good people.
Are many of you planning on stopping overnight? If no-one's stopping overnight, and everyone's on their way back home around 5-7pm, Miss FFBF and I might well decide not to stop over too and drive home. Could you give a brief insight of your plans (if you have any) in the comments below? It might help others decide on what they're doing too. As a guide, any rough arrival times, departure times would be great!
To get the ball rolling.......
We plan on getting there early, 9.00-9.30am. I'll switch my phone on and wait to meet and greet everyone. We're going to be there all day and plan on stopping overnight in hotel in town. We'l then spend Sunday morning and early afternoon exploring the town before heading off home.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you this Saturday, and introducing you to my better half too. If you have any questions, please drop me a line. I hope you all have a great week!
